Hilarious moment crow named Dave takes liking to Man City fan watching parade

Video footage captured the moment a crow named Dave took a sudden liking to a Manchester City fan watching the huge parade on Monday evening (June 12).

Thousands of fans turned out to watch the Man City players tour the streets of Manchester on an open-top bus following their Treble success.

Will, along with his brother Matt, who had returned from to Istanbul after watching City as they triumphed against Inter Milan, were among the fans lining King Street.

And as they waited for the parade to pass, a man walked by with a crow on his shoulder. Telling the group, who were sat on a window ledge, that the bird was named Dave, they then jokingly asked to hold it.

The crow then 'took a liking' to Matt and jumped onto his legs and arms as the crowds of fans took out their phones and began filming.

Will said: "Some random man with a bird walked past a couple of times with it on his shoulder and we were amazed by it. We collared him and he told us it was called Dave.

"We were all laughing and my brother asked to hold him - the next minute he took a liking to him and just wouldn't get off and go back to his owner, who was shouting and clicking for him to come back.

"The whole street was watching. It went on for three to four minutes it was hilarious, and people were cheering every time he lifted his arm up."

Studies have revealed that crows are among some of the most intelligent animals on the planet, along with the likes of apes and dolphins, and may be able to even recognize, respond and adapt to specific human faces and voices.
