Hilarious footage shows window cleaner diving into his flooded back garden after heavy rain

A fun-loving window cleaner has become an online hit after posting video of himself DIVING into his flooded back garden.

The back garden of Pete Brotherton's Failsworth home became inundated with water during Storm Franklin. Far from being fazed by the inconvenience, the 40-year-old donned his swimming trunks for some fun.

Pete, well known for posting comedy videos, got his wife Rachel to shoot footage of him diving into the freezing water at the Shaw Head Drive home. He waved to viewers, removed his dressing gown, showing his trunks, armbands and goggles before jumping from the garden decking into the water.

Now, hundreds of people have viewed the footage on his Facebook page. Pete, who runs R 'N' B Window Cleaning with brother-in-law Tom as well as a bouncy castle business, said: "With the weather being so bad, all the garden was flooded so I decided to go for a dip.

"I said to my wife I'm going to have a dive in the pool and put my shorts, armbands and goggles on. The water was freezing but I was expecting that.

"I do things like this a lot, that is how I live my life. Things are hard enough so I like doing things that are light-hearted."

Meanwhile, Pete says he is also known as the 'dancing window cleaner'. He continued: "People see videos of me having fun but then they see that I can do a good job too."

On Facebook, he said: "Can't believe our new home included its own heated swimming pool. We are so lucky and extremely privileged.

"Any of friends and family are welcome to our sprawling estate to enjoy our spa facilities during the hours of 8-late Mon-Fri (weekends are rented out privately to Jeff Bezos and family).

"We love you all, but please respect our privacy on our 4,000 acre estate.....you will be fined for trespassing. Lot's of backstrokes, Pete and Tom (R'N'Benidorm (Costa del Failsworth)."
