Hilarious footage shows naked Scots daredevil jump into muddy bog for £50 bet

A Castlemilk man stripped off and got himself a bit dirty in a cheeky £50 dare during a lockdown walk.

Jamie Downie had been taking advantage of his government -sanctioned exercise when he bumped into one of his good pals on the Cathkin Braes on Tuesday.

But a light-hearted conversation soon descended into chaos when the 24-year-old tabled a risky £50 bet to his friend.

Ross Kelly was dared to bare all before jumping into an mysterious muddy bog - all of which was captured on video.

The resulting footage shows Ross, who is also aged 24, trotting down towards the dirty puddle where he would then dive belly-first into.

The naked daredevil can then be seen exiting the pool like a creature of the deep before sprinting towards a somewhat shocked Jamie.

Video of the stunt has since gone viral on Twitter, with more than two and a half thousand people liking the clip.

Jamie, who is currently furloughed from his job as a painter, may be £50 lighter but he told the Daily Record that it was completely worth it.

He said: “I offered him the money to go belly flop in there naked. Ross is the kind of guy who doesn’t really care and will do anything for a laugh, but I couldn’t believe when he started stripping off.

“He had no idea what it was going be like, but he said it stank of cow dung - there was wee tadpoles and everything inside.”

Ross raced to back to his Castlemilk home for a shower while using his shirt to get the remaining dirt off his body.

But the £50 he received for successfully carrying out the stunt came at a cost.

Jamie added: “He was sick everywhere not long after it. I don’t really blame him because he was absolutely honking.”
