Hilarious Channel 4 poster put up outside train station ahead of move to Leeds city centre

A huge new poster has been put up outside Channel 4's new Leeds city centre headquarters which mocks a complaint made to the national broadcaster.

Channel 4 is currently in the process of moving up to 200 roles to Leeds as works continues on its new national HQ at the Majestic opposite Leeds train station.

The channel's latest advertising campaign pokes fun at complaints made by viewers - and the stunt in Leeds is part of the 'Complaints Welcome' agenda.

Emblazoned on a black background in bold white text is the complaint: "Didn't think Channel 4 knew there was life outside the M25."

It follows an advert featuring some of Channel 4's best-known presenters ridiculing complaints made against them.

Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith is seen talking with her mouth full, while Countdown presenter Rachel Riley reads a complaint which suggests 'her outfit is totally inappropriate' while spelling out 'whatever' in big letter tiles.

Leeds beat the likes of Manchester and Birmingham in its bid to host Channel 4.

Staff are currently based in the West Gate development on Grace Street - but the full move will be complete by mid-2020, when 200 employees will be housed in the Majestic.
