An experienced hiker has been found after spending the night alone in a rugged southeast Queensland national park.

The woman in her 60s initially went missing while hiking with two male relatives in the Mount Walsh National Park, near Biggenden, about 1.30pm on Sunday.

The men walked to a nearby caravan park to alert authorities and police started a search, but they could not find the woman before sunset.

She was found safe and well about 11am on Monday morning after spending the night alone in the park.

The woman had been missing for more than 22 hours.
