Highly regarded Leeds United striker reveals he's found a new club after Whites exit

Talented former Leeds United striker Henri Kumwenda has revealed he's signed for Hull City.

There has been no confirmation from the League One Tigers, but Kumwenda posted a message on his Twitter account this evening showing him signing his contract at the KCOM Stadium in Hull.

He said: "Happy to sign my first professional contract with @HullCity Looking forward to this new chapter."

The 18-year-old had been with Leeds United's academy since the age of 11 and had made a name for himself with a number of staring roles for the Whites' under-18s side, earning a call up last season to Carlos Corberan's under-23s team.

However, upon the conclusion of his two-year scholarship contract in the summer and with the club adding a number of young players to their ranks, Kumwenda was released from Leeds.

Born in Malawi, Kumwenda moved to near Wetherby as a young child and had been with Leeds' academy for seven years.

His hat-trick for the under-18s last season brought him to the attention of many Leeds fans and he soon found his way into the under-23s side on the back of his impressive displays.
