The Welsh ice cream maker that sells the most outrageous flavours including seafood and bara brith

An award-winning ice cream group in Wales offers the most unusual and seasonal flavours, including seafood.

Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour is 'highly recommended' for its interesting selection of varieties.

What’s a flavour you have always wanted to try but never found in ice cream form? Tiramisu? How about Jelly Baby or apple crumble?

There's no Willy Wonka here but this is a real place - and there are shops across North Wales.

They even change their offerings depending on the seasons.

Last Christmas, they rolled out flavours of Christmas pudding and brandy, mince pie, white chocolate and cranberry and stollen.

In summer, they even offer seafood flavoured ice cream... if you dare.

Over on our sister site, 2Chill, member Sian Williams gave the flagship parlour in Beaumaris five stars.

She said: “Delicious handcrafted gelato and sorbet is served alongside waffles, cakes, paninis and many other tasty treats. Great coffee, too!

“Check out the seasonal flavours as well as year-round favourites such as Bara Brith, Rocky Road, and Tiramisu gelato. Highly recommended!”

Red boat has five ice cream parlours - Beaumaris, Prestatyn, Menai Bridge, Llangefni, and a brand new location in Caernarfon.

Co-owner Tony was trained in the art of ice cream in the world famous Carpigiani University of Italy before setting up the brand with his wife Lyn.

During lockdown, they delivered free ice cream to hospitals, care homes and hospices in North Wales.

Now, they even supply The National Trust with ice cream at Plas Newydd and Penrhyn Castle.

If you fancy getting your hands on Red Boat ice cream at a National Trust site, 2Chill are currently offering free family passes
