Actor Stan Kirsch who played Richie Ryan in the Highlander TV series for six seasons has been found dead at his home in Los Angeles.
Kirsch, who had a cameo in Friends as Ethan, a love interest for Monica, was found by his wife Kristyn Green on Saturday.
It is reported that he took his own life and paramedics were unable to revive him at the scene.
Kirsch appeared in one episode of friends in 1995 and in Highlander from 1992 to 1998.
He also played Lieutenant Ferrari in JAG for five seasons.
In a message on Facebook wife Kristyn wrote: "I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support. I haven't been able to respond to all the texts, calls, emails -- but have read or listened to every single one of them. I feel surrounded by love and am forever grateful to each and every one of you."
Stan and Kristyn were married in 2009.
The official Highlander Facebook group paid tribute to Stan writing: “It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Stan Kirsch.
“Without Stan Kirsch, Highlander: The Series would have been far less. He brought a sense of humor, kindness and youthful enthusiasm to the character of Richie Ryan for six seasons.”
