High winds bring down tree in Paisley

A tree was ripped from the ground by high winds brought by Storm Ciara.

The massive trunk was felled in strong gusts this morning on Glasgow Road, Paisley

PAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS: Live news as it happens

Roots from the tree had been pulled from the ground and branches landed on parked cars in the street.

It's understood no one was injured in the incident.

The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for much of the country for heavy snow and strong winds until 11.59pm tonight.
