High street haul: the stylish and affordable swimsuits under £50

As we prepare to beckon in another three-day weekend, blazing temperatures await us and so too does the necessity for summer-appropriate clothing.

And nothing screams balmy Bank Holiday quite like a swimsuit.

A multi-talented piece, the swimsuit is not only perfect for back yard basking but can also double as a bodysuit, if you wear under wide-leg trousers or a midi skirt.

And as fashion platform Lyst has recorded a 42 per cent increase in searches for the one-piece since last month, it's time to get ahead of the game.
