The road is closed northbound at the junction between High Street and Duke Street and Castle Street is closed southbound at Cathedral Square.

No one is thought to have been injured in the collision.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a two vehicle crash at around 12:25pm today. One vehicle involved was a van. There have been no reported injuries.

"Emergency services are currently in attendance."

Diversions are in place at Duke Street, John Knox Street and Cathedral Square and drivers are asked to take care if they are using this route through town.
