Spectators may be barred from the National Invitational High School Baseball Tournament, in response to the spread of the new coronavirus.

The Japan High School Baseball Federation is considering this measure, and has said it will make its decision on March 11.

The federation held a tournament steering committee meeting and an extraordinary board meeting on Wednesday to discuss whether to hold the event.
