High risk missing person in Ayrshire as family become increasingly concerned for man's welfare

An urgent search has been launched to trace a missing Ayrshire man.

John Geddes has been reported missing by his family and there are increasing concerns for his safety, police said this evening.

The 44-year-old is deemed to be a high risk missing person by cops and he was last seen around 4pm on Wednesday, October 13 in the Shortlees area of Kilmarnock.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "John Geddes (aged 44) has been reported missing by his family, where he was last seen around 4pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

"He was last seen in the Shortlees area of Kilmarnock and there are increasing concerns for his safety.

"Any information or sightings please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2830 of 13th October 2021."
