High-flying accountants at Price Bailey to sky dive for charity

A group of business advisers and accountants will face their fears by taking part in a skydive for charity.

Thirteen members of staff at Price Bailey, which has offices in Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket and Sawston, will take on the challenge for Action Medical Research.

With the aim of raising as much money as possible for the charity’s Saving Tiny Lives campaign, the team of Iona Ivemy, Mel Root, Julie Llewellyn, James King, Richard Vass, Daisy Vass, Chris Godsave, Howard Sears, Karen Cox, Patrick Matthews, Rebecca Allard, Henry Foley and Alex Wight, will be jumping from a plane at 13,000 feet at Chatteris jump centre on March 28.

Action’s Saving Tiny Lives campaign is focused on generating funds in order to carry out research into reducing premature births.

Around 60,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK, and 1,000 die, making it the biggest cause of death in babies. For those who do survive, it is also the leading cause of disability.

James King, corporate social responsibility partner at Price Bailey, said: “We are thrilled that so many people from Price Bailey have taken the opportunity to face their fears and take part in a sky dive, whilst raising money for such a worthy cause.

“This will be the final fundraising effort in a two year partnership with Action Medical Research.

“We are hoping the money raised will help us to surpass our target of £107,000, making this partnership our most successful ever.”
