High Court set to rule on Fawaz Al Hasawi's legal case against Nottingham Forest after hearing takes place

A decision is pending in the legal case between Nottingham Forest and the club’s former owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, the Post understands.

The Reds took action against the Kuwaiti 18 months ago, over money they claim is owed following the sale of the club in May 2017.

Al Hasawi, in turn, responded by launching his own proceedings, suing the club for what he claims is around £4.2m of unpaid loans.

Hit or miss - How have Nottingham Forest players fared this season?

It is understood a hearing took place last week in the High Court and it was Vacated by Order.

Both parties are now awaiting a decision from the judges, which is likely to be made within the next week.

Al Hasawi owned Forest for five years, from July 2012, before selling the Championship club.
