High Court officials confirm private hearing as Notts County winding-up petition dismissed

The winding-up petition which has been hanging over Notts County has been dismissed.

The case was scheduled to return to court this morning, but was unexpectedly not on the list at London’s High Court.

It was revealed by a court official the matter had come before a judge in private before prior to today’s anticipated hearing and that he had dismissed the petition.

Notts County FC Ltd, which was said to owe the taxman £250,000 at least and a supporting creditor, All About Ballerz Ltd, £39,346,  now has new Danish owners - brothers Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz.

They have completed their takeover of the Magpies from Alan Hardy.

At the Insolvency and Companies Court in London three weeks ago HM Revenue & Customs' winding-up petition was adjourned until today, July 31, to allow more time for the deal to be finalised.

No mention of the case was made before top insolvency judge, Mark Mullen, at the court this morning.

However, court officials revealed the petition was dismissed at a private hearing last Friday, July 26, in front of deputy insolvency judge Catherine Addy QC.
