
About 2,000 daikon Japanese radishes are hung up to dry on the beach in front of Suhara Noen farm in Kanagawa Prefecture on Tuesday. They are dried in a mild sea breeze on Miura Beach for about five days then pickled in rice-bran paste to be shipped as takuan pickled daikon, which is a traditional Japanese side dish.
