LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England -- Mamiko Higa, starting the day three shots off lead, faltered to a 1-over 73 on Sunday to finish in a still-satisfying fourth place at the Women's British Open, the fourth women's major of the season.
Higa carded four birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey over the final round on the par-72 Royal Lytham and St. Annes course to finish at 9-under 279, eight shots behind winner Georgia Hall of England.
"I have no regrets over any shot," said Higa, whose previous best finish in the tournament was a seventh place in her debut in 2013. "I gave it my best over the whole four days."
