Hideaway: Ollie Dabbous’s upmarket coffee shop pop-up gets a permanent home in Mayfair

Ollie Dabbous has announced he is to open a permanent location for his coffee shop and bar concept Hideaway, launching in Mayfair this winter.

The acclaimed chef will open Hideaway at 100 Mount Street, a short distance from his Michelin-starred restaurant Hide on Piccadilly.

The move follows pop-up stints at Chelsea Barracks and nearby Burlington Arcade over the last 18 months.

“Hide is somewhere people linger, whereas Hideaway provides a more immediate offering for people that don’t want to compromise on quality just because they have to on time,” said Dabbous. “I’m looking forward to creating a menu that will both surprise and satisfy our guests.”

A little luxury: The food offering will include Dabbous's famed truffle Croque Monsieur

The Parisian-inspired, cafe-style venue will serve coffee, croissants and vintage-style pastries for morning visitors, as well as oysters and champagne for later diners. Further food offerings include fresh sandwiches and salads, such as a lobster roll and Hide Ground’s signature truffle Croque Monsieur. Guests will also be able to purchase a selection of retail products, including jams, chutneys and pickles.

The kitchen is set to be headed up by current Hide sous chef Andrew Alu, while the wine list will be curated by Hide collaborator Hedonism and teas will be provided by Mariage Freres.
