Hidden shopping page on Amazon where buyers can find extra discounts

Shoppers can get even more money off this Amazon Prime Day when buying products from a secret section of the retailers site, finding reductions on already discounted items.

For the second time this year Amazon has announced another Prime Day, an event giving shoppers the chance to grab the best deals and discounts across its site. Only available to Prime members, the retailer offers everything from the latest tech, kitchen devices, skincare and sport brands for a fraction of the price.

It's one of the biggest dates in the shopping calendar, pencilled in by thousands each year marking the lead up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. But knowing where to shop can increase the amount of money consumers save.

Amazon Warehouse is a deals part of the online site that specialises in discounted big name brands, and is the place for shoppers to go to if they're looking to save even more money. Items available to buy include everything from the latest cameras and computer accessories to books, games and toys, a whole range of products to suit the lead up to the festive period and Christmas wish lists.

For example this 2021 space grey iPad is stocked on Amazon Warehouse for £304.90, whereas on the main tech department of the site the same item cost £424. Other items reduced are these ghd hair straighteners for £95.95, originally these cost around £160. And there's one key reason why the products here are discounted so much.

The products found in this section of the retailer are pre-owned, 'like-new' products that have previously been returned, the packaging damaged in the warehouse or have been refurbished. But this doesn't necessarily mean that they have been used before.

Amazon sets out a clear threshold for its Warehouse items and categorizes the products in the following brackets; used - like new, used - very good, used- good and used - acceptable. Products are priced depending on the status, with the cheaper options being used- acceptable and the more expensive are used - like new.

The majority of the products are items that have been returned to Amazon, even if they have been returned in a completely unopened box they cannot be sold again as 'new'. This is why a lot of the Warehouse products are in the same condition as products listed on its main store.

For products that have been used, but for one reason or another has been returned to Amazon it goes through a rigorous testing phase to ensure it is of 'like new' quality. If a fault is found then it is repaired and tested.
