Hidden Nottingham restaurant to host all-day BBQ with outdoor bar at alleyway yard party

It's the kind of spot you could walk past and not know it's even there. But later this month a Nottingham alleyway will come alive with food, drink and music when a hidden restaurant holds a yard party.

Cannon Court, off Long Row, is the city centre location - the alley which is home to Kushi-ya, a Japanese grill, run by chefs Simon Carlin and Tom Clay.

The all-day shindig, from midday until midnight, will have a barbecue serving skewers, small plates and snacks all served with their inimitable Japanese flavours.

Revellers will be able to buy Asahi super dry beer, yuzu margaritas, sake ice tea and shiso lemonade from an outdoor bar.

Peach Fuzz, a collective of Nottingham DJs, will be playing music throughout the day. Admission to the family-friendly event on Sunday June 16 is free.
