Hidden Netflix codes you never knew existed and how to access them

Finding something to watch on Netflix can be extremely difficult. We've all been there, we all know the frustration.

But thankfully, one helpful person on the internet has shared a simple hack to save yourself a lot of time when picking a film or series to watch, the Mirror reports.

A Reddit user has taken one for the team and shared a guide to "secret" codes that will allow you to quickly narrow down your Netflix search - handy for those without much time on their hands.

All you have to do is choose a genre you would like to watch and fire up your computer - or smart phone in this day and age.

Then, just enter the Netflix URL into the web browser and simply select the code for that specific genre and add it on to the end of the URL for example: www.netflix.com/browse/genre/xxx

So when you click search, you are taken to Netflix and you will only see movies in that category.

These codes can take you to very specific places, taking away the numerous other choices, for example, a vampire movie has the code 75804 or courtroom dramas 528582748.

For those wanting action adventure can use the code 1365, or for those into more of a romantic feel can search 8883.

The full list of codes was shared on Reddit where it has been upvoted more than 140 times with dozens of comments.

At present it seems there is no way to use the codes with Netflix on a Smart TV or in the app, so for those using TV, you would still need to search the codes online and then put the specific title you wanted to watch into the app or TV.

Netflix previously confirmed a number of TV and film releases throughout January, including the long awaited third and final series of Ricky Gervais' Afterlife.
