Hidden Liver Birds you've been walking past for years and never noticed

Did you know Liverpool's waterfront wasn't the only place to get a glimpse of the famous Liver Birds?

If you thought the two statues on top of the Liver Building were the only Liver Birds in town, you would be wrong.

There are over a hundred to be spotted around the city centre in places high and low.

One set of birds on London Road were hidden for a little while earlier this year, due to scaffolding for building works, but can now be seen once again.

Seymore Chambers, a historic building at the corner of London Road is the former home of the Laser school uniform shop.

Standing above the stone coloured curved doorway is a pair of agitated Liver Birds flanked by mermen.

And now they can be seen again in all their glory.

There are hundreds of other places around the city where you can catch a glimpse of the Liver Birds, including the Queensway Tunnel, Bluecoat Chambers and even on the Leeds - Liverpool Canal.
