A hidden rooftop garden bar with 'Ibiza vibes' is opening in Newcastle city centre this weekend.
The new venue called Altitude is on the rooftop of the NX Newcastle on Clayton Street West promising drinkers a "Balearic party vibe" with sundowner cocktails, classic house DJs and dancers.
Sitting seven stories above the hustle and bustle of the streets below, the rooftop terrace is set to open at 12pm on Saturday, June 24 and can be accessed via a hidden wooden alcove on Clayton Street, to the side of NX Newcastle.

The alfresco destination is fully heated and offers "bottomless drunch" and pizzas from Ouseburn restaurant Gingerino’s. The opening has created 20 new jobs in the city.
Mike Hesketh, the owner of Horticulture and Pepo in the city, is behind the new venue, which follows on from the success of his pop-up events, Central Park in Times Square and MoosenWirt, Newcastle’s Christmas bar.

"Altitude was created by infusing the spirit of Balearic bliss and a sun-kissed sanctuary that combines the energy of a playful party atmosphere with the laid-back vibes of Ibiza. We want our guests to step into our secluded sun trap and instantly transport them to the enchanting allure of Ibiza that beckons them to unwind, indulge, and create ever-lasting memories.
