Hibs wrap up pre-season friendlies by easing to comfortable victory over Raith Rovers

Hibs brought an end to their run of pre-season friendlies this evening by comfortably seeing off Raith Rovers at Starks Park.

Jack Ross 's side travelled to Kirkcaldy for their final bounce match of the off-season ahead of next week's second round qualifier against Andorran outfit Santa Coloma in the newly formed UEFA Conference League.

And the Hibees boss didn't need to wait too long before his players got the ball rolling with Ryan Porteous heading the opening goal after just three minutes.

Winger Stevie Bradley scored his first goal for the club on the half-hour mark thanks to another header and Scotland international Kevin Nisbet smashed home the third just three minutes later.

Raith tried to out up something of a fight and Aidan Connolly pulled one back for the hosts before the break but neither team did enough to increase their tally in the second half.

The Easter Road side will now turn their attentions to next Thursday's return to European football, as Ross and his players aim to reach the competition's group stages when they'll hopefully be performing in front of 9,000 home supporters.
