Hibs without TEN first team players for Ross County clash as Jack Ross forced to draft in kids

Jack Ross will be forced to field a team of Hibs kids against Ross County after TEN of first team stars were ruled out due to Covid.

The Easter Road side were left raging at the Staggies clash being rearranged for Wednesday after Saturday’s Scottish Premiership match was postponed due to two positive cases.

However, five players in total have tested positive along with a member of the coaching staff and Ross also has five stars sidelined through injury.

Hibs took the decision to cancel training for the Under-18s squad with many likely to be needed for the Highlands clash.

Record Sport Online exclusively revealed earlier how the Hibees players allegedly breached Covid rules while in their Highland hotel ahead of the clash in Dingwall.

A fellow guest gave us an eyewitness account of their actions with Hibs declining to comment on the matter.

The Edinburgh side’s chiefs were desperate for an alternative date for the match but the SPFL have insisted it goes ahead this midweek.

Hibs are looking to avoid a fifth consecutive loss in the league which has seen them slide to fifth in the Scottish Premiership table.
