Hibs v Hearts team news revealed as Martin Boyle is fit but Jake Doyle-Hayes misses out

The Hibs team for the first Edinburgh derby of the season has been named.

And Jack Ross has been able to welcome back some of his missing stars for the Premiership clash.

Paul Hanlon returns to his usual central defensive role after missing the last few matches due to concussion protocols.

Joe Newell is also back in action after being forced to sit out with an abdominal injury.

However, Jamie Murphy doesn't make it after suffering a set back in his bid to recover from a hamstring injury.

The big news for the Hibees is that Martin Boyle makes it. He scored twice the last time the visitors faced Hearts at Tynecastle, and he's shaken off a knock picked up with Australia that gave Hibs an injury scare earlier in the week.

However, Jake Doyle-Hayes's absence in a blow. The midfielder has added steel to the middle of the park but isn't fit enough to sample his first Edinburgh derby.

Hibs: Macey, McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon, Doig, Newell, Magenns, Cadden, Boyle, Nisbet, Boyle.

Subs: Dabrowski, McGregor, MacKay, Wright, Allan, Wood, Gogic.
