Hibs v FC Santa Coloma Europa Conference League second leg to be played behind closed doors

The second leg of Hibs ’ Europa Conference League qualifying tie against FC Santa Coloma will be played behind closed doors.

The Andorran clubbed tonight confirmed that no tickets will be sold for the game, taking place on Thursday 29 Julyat Estadio Nacional, Andorra La Vella.

The first leg is at Easter Road this Thursday. 2,000 Hibs fans will definitely be allowed in to see the game, although the club have applied for special dispensation to increase that number to Edinburgh City Council.

A decision was expected earlier today but as yet nothing has been confirmed.

Some enterprising Hibees had been planning a convoluted travel route in order to attend the away leg, but those plans will now be in vain with no admittance to the match being permitted.

Jack Ross ’ side are expected to progress to the Conference League third qualifying round round, where they will face either Rijeka of Croatia or Malta’s Gzira United.

Andorra is currently on the amber travel list due to Covid restrictions, and anyone returning from the country who isn’t fully vaccinated must isolate for ten days.
