West Ham and Arsenal are unwilling to step up their interest in Josh Doig unless Hibs drop their asking price, according to a report.
The two London clubs are interested in the teenage left back but Hibs want a fee of around £5million for him and they are unwilling to budge on that.
Watford were also interested in signing him but they decided against it when they brought Danny Rose in on a free transfer.
And now the Evening Standard say West Ham and Arsenal will only making a move if they drop their asking price.
Hibs want £5m plus add-ons for the 19-year-old but neither club wants to spend that, and believe the asking price needs to be halved.
It means Hibs are unlikely to sell this summer unless a bid matching their asking price comes in.
Jack Ross’ men are in a strong bargaining position with a long term deal signed by Doig last summer.
And the full back is in no rush to leave Easter Road either and is focusing on his fitness.
He said: “There’s always speculation, I know that myself. For me, just now, it’s about getting back fully fit, because I was out with Covid. I think it’s taken away my edge and my fitness a wee bit.
“For me, just now, I’m so happy at Hibs; I absolutely love it here. They’ve made me the player I am, taking me in when I had just turned 17.”
