Hibs' transfer business is done for the summer says Paul Heckingbottom

Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed that the club’s transfer business is now done for the summer.

Josh Vela became the Hibees’ seventh and, according to Heckingbottom, final addition of the current window.

Fans had been hopeful that another midfielder and possibly a striker could still be on the shopping list, but the manager explained that any further movement would be in reaction so something unexpected occurring.

“That’s it, we’re done,” he said. “Unless circumstances change or something unforeseen happens which we’ve got to react to, that’ll be it.

‘We’ve done really well this summer. We’ve worked the budget and really pushed it and tried to get the best possible players in we can in those positions and I think we’ve done that.

“We just need to get everyone fit and firing now and have minutes under their belt., ready to go.

“Looking at the squad as it stands today out on the training pitch, we’ve got two good players for every position.

“We want it to be a tough team to get in.”
