Hibs team to face St Johnstone predicted as Jack Ross hopes to have his striking options boosted

After the disappointment of dropping two points at the death against Celtic at the weekend, Hibs have to go again.

St Johnstone are the visitors to Easter Road for their rearranged Scottish Premiership fixture and a win for Jack Ross' side will send them third in the table - for 24 hours at least.

The Saints were arguably the better team when the sides met in Perth earlier in the season, the capital club snatching the win thanks to a stoppage time penalty from Stevie Mallan.

When it comes to penalties this time, it remains to be seen whether Kevin Nisbet will continue after missing his last two, or if he's replaced on spot-kick duty, with Mallan being a prime candidate.

Nisbet has had to lead the line on his own for the last couple of games, but he could be in for a bit of respite with Hibs hopeful that Christian Doidge shakes off a knock in time.

The big Welshman and last season's top scorer in green and white was suspended for the Betfred Cup win over Dundee and not fit enough to feature against Celtic.

If he's fit, he might be the one new face in the team that came so clase to claiming victory at the weekend.

Jack Ross will have to do without Lewis Stevenson, Kyle Magennis and Scott Allan, however.
