Hibs team news v Stranraer revealed as Jack Ross makes two changes to side that lost v Rangers

The Hibs team tasked with reaching the Scottish Cup quarter-finals has been revealed.

After a narrow 2-1 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox last week, Jack Ross has made two changes to his starting XI.

The Easter Road boss keeps faith with Matt Macey as his cup goalkeeper. The Englishman started the 3-1 third round win at Queen of the South but lost his place to Ofir Marciano for the trip to Ibrox a week ago.

However, he's been reinstated for the the clash at Stair Park and the signs are that Macey will retain his place if the Hibees progress further in the competition.

There's also a change in midfield. Destroyer Alex Gogic drops to the bench in place of the more attack-minded Kyle Magennis.

The former St Mirren man came off the bench at both Ibrox and Palmerston, but prior to that hadn;t made an appearance in green and white since the 2-0 victory over Aberdeen at the beginning of February.

The in-from strike duo of Christian Doidge and Kevin Nisbet start up front, while the back three and wing backs continue to pick themselves.

16-year-old Ethan Laidlaw gets another taste of the first team with a place on the bench again.

Hibs: Macey, McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon, Doig, Boyle, Newell, Irvine, Magennis, Nisbet, Doidge.

Subs: Marciano, Gray, McGregor, Stevenson, Hallberg, Gogic, Wright, Laidlaw.
