Hibs team news v St Johnstone revealed as Ryan Porteous earns starting spot for Scottish Cup Final

Hibs boss Jack Ross has named his team to face St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup Final.

The Easter Road side take on their Perthshire opponents at Hampden hoping to make it a second cup success in five years after last winning the trophy in 2016.

That was arguably one of the greatest days in the club's history and while it might not have the same feeling this time around with the lack of fans, it would cap off an incredible campaign.

And Ross has made eight changes from the side that faced Celtic in the final Premiership match of the season last week.

He had made it clear he would use his squad for that game and the big guns are back for the Scottish Cup Final.

The three who keep their place are Ryan Porteous, Alex Gogic and Joe Newell with the rest of the team changed.

In comes Matt Macey in goals, meaning Ofir Marciano has to settle for a place on the bench in his final match at the club.

They continue with a formation that sees them go with Paul McGinn, Porteous and Paul Hanlon as a back three with Martin Boyle and Josh Doig as wing backs.

Gogic and Newell are joined by Jackson Irvine in midfield with Kevin Nisbet and Christian Doidge starting up front.

It's a strong bench too with 2016 heroes David Gray and Lewis Stevenson there, as well as Jamie Murphy as an attacking option.

FULL TEAM: Macey, McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon, Boyle, Doig, Gogic, Newell, Irvine, Nisbet, Doidge

Subs: Marciano, Gray, Magennis, Wright, Stevenson, Murphy, Hallberg, McGregor
