Hibs team news v Ross County revealed as Josh Doig returns to starting fold

Jack Ross has named his Hibs team to face Ross County - and Josh Doig has returned to the starting XI.

The bright left-back has been missing from the side for the Hibees' fixtures against Motherwell and Rijeka in the last week.

The omissions came as Ross and the Easter Road hierarchy braced for transfer bids from interested clubs such as Watford.

But he's back as he usurps veteran Lewis Stevenson in the role.

Matt Macey starts in goal as he continues to nail down the spot between the sticks.

In front of him is Doig, Ryan Porteous, Paul Hanlon and Paul McGinn.

Jake Doyle-Hayes can continue his impressive start to life at Hibs in midfield and he starts alongside Joe Newell and Josh Magennis.

And in a three-pronged attack, Jamie Murphy and Martin Boyle join Christian Doidge, with the latter two netting for a remarkable comeback at Motherwell last weekend.

Kevin Nisbet, meanwhile, is absent completely but that's to ensure a dead leg suffered against Rijeka is completely banished ahead of Thursday's all-or-nothing Europa Conference League clash in Croatia.

Hibs starting XI: Macey, McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon, Doig, Newell, Doyle-Hayes, Magennis, Murphy, Boyle, Doidge.

Subs: Dabrowski, Stevenson, MacKay, Gogic, Allan, McGregor, Campbell
