Hibs team news v Kilmarnock revealed as Jack Ross goes strong for Premier Sports Cup clash

Hibs boss Jack Ross has named his team to face Kilmarnock in the Premier Sports Cup.

The Easter Road side host Kilmarnock at 2pm and Ross has gone strong in his bid to go further in the tournament than they did last year when they reached the semi-final.

A shock defeat to St Johnstone came in that one as the Perth side went on to claim a double and a trophy was the one thing missing from making it an almost perfect season for Hibs last time out.

Now they begin their campaign this time around just three days after crashing out of the Europa Conference League following a defeat to Rijeka.

Matt Macey was on goals for Hibs on Thursday and he starts again despite some hopes from Hibs fans for Kevin Dabrowski to get a chance.

Paul Hanlon once again misses out through injury so that means Ryan Porteous is joined by Darren McGregor again, with Paul McGinn and Josh Doig at full back.

Jake Doyle-Hayes is joined by Joe Newell and Kyle Magennis in midfield with Martin Boyle, Jamie Murphy and Kevin Nisbet in the front three.

FULL TEAM: Macey, McGinn, Porteous, McGregor, Doig, Doyle-Hayes, Newell, Magennis, Boyle, Murphy, Nisbet

Subs: Dabrowski, Wright, Gogic, Stevenson, Mackay, Gullan, Allan, Campbell, Brydon
