Hibs team news v Dundee revealed as Kevin Nisbet misses out for Jack Ross' men

Hibs boss Jack Ross has named his team to face Dundee in their third league game of the season.

The Hibees are currently unbeaten after two games but will have to go into this one without star striker Kevin Nisbet.

It's unclear why the frontman has been left out of the squad but rumours linking him with a move to Celtic refuse to go away with Ange Postecoglou refusing to discuss rumours of a transfer.

But he's definitely not involved for Hibs at Dens Park today and it means a debut for James Scott, who joined the club on loan earlier this week.

The former Motherwell frontman joined from Hull, where he struggled for game time after injuring his ankle just days after completing a £1.5m move to the Championship outfit.

It's a strong side for Hibs outwith Nisbet's absence, with Martin Boyle looking to continue his fine start to the season after signing a new contract.

Matt Macey starts in goals yet again with the giant stopper continuing to impress between the sticks.

A back four of Paul McGinn, Darren McGregor, Ryan Porteous and Josh Doig continues with Paul Hanlon still absent.

Kyle Magennis is joined by Jake Doyle-Hayes and Alex Gogic in midfield, with Boyle, Scott and Jamie Murphy making up the attack.

Full team:Macey, McGinn, McGregor, Porteous, Doig, Doyle-Hayes, Gogic, Magennis, Boyle, Murphy, Scott

Subs: Dabrowski, Stevenson, Mackay, Wright, Allan, Campbell, Gullan
