Hibs team news v Aberdeen as Jack Ross shows hand with unchanged line up

Jack Ross has named his team for Hibernian's Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen - and it contains no changes for the third straight game.

The Easter Road side edged above The Dons into third with their midweek win at St Mirren while Derek McInnes' side gifted Livingston three points at Pittodrie.

Victory for the men in green and white this afternoon could open a five point gap between the two teams, effectively negating the visitors' game in hand away at Celtic later this month.

Ross is one of few recent managers occupying the home dugout in Leith to claim a victory over Aberdeen, with a 3-0 win in December 2019 providing half of Hibs total number of home wins in this fixture over the past decade.

That three points came courtesy of a virtuoso performance from Florian Kamberi, who attracted further ire from the Easter Road faithful by agreeing a surprise loan move to Pittodrie on transfer deadline day.

But there will be no reunion today with the Swiss-born striker stuck at home as he awaits a work permit to be granted so he can complete a temporary move from St Gallen.

Hibs meanwhile managed to hold on to their burgeoning attacking talent at the end of the January window and while Kevin Nisbet and fellow wanted man Ryan Porteous have not started the past two games amid speculation over their future, the pair combined to great effect on their return in Paisley.

It means there are no changes from the side that started on Tuesday evening, with both Nisbet and Porteous among the subs.

Hibernian XI: Marciano, P. McGinn, McGregor, Hanlon (C), Cadden, Gogic, Irvine, Doig, Boyle, Doidge, Murphy.

Subs: Macey, Gray, Porteous, Stevenson, Hallberg, Allan, Magennis, Wright, Nisbet

Aberdeen XI: Lewis, Hoban, Considine, Leigh, Hornby, Taylor, McGeouch, Hayes, Ferguson, Kennedy, McCrorie

Subs: Woods, Logan, Hendry, McGinn, McLennan, Ross, Campbell, Virtanen, MacKenzie
