Hibs team news revealed for Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Dundee United

The Hibs team tasked with making it to the Scottish Cup final has been revealed.

Dundee United stand between Jack Ross' side and a first final appearance since they lifted the trophy back in 2016.

And there's two changes to the side that lost 1-0 at home St Johnstone in the Premiership last weekend.

Midfielder Alex Gogic is suspended for the Hampden clash and is replaced in midfield by Melker Hallberg.

More importantly however, top scorer Kevin Nisbet is git again and back partnering Christian Doidge in attack.

The striker missed the Saints defeat with an injury picked up in training last Friday but is back n the starting lineup tp try and fire Hibs to the final.

He missed a crucial penalty in October's defeat to Hearts at the same stage of last season's competition, but his most recent memory of the national stadium is a happier one, having made his Scotland debut against the Faroe Islands back in March.

At the other end of the pitch, goalkeeper Matt Macey returns between the stick in place of Ofir Marciano, fresh from singing a two-year contract extension.

Hibs: Macey, McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon, Boyle, Doig, Hallberg, Newell, Irvine, Nisbet, Doidge.

Subs: Marciano, Gray, Magennis, Wright, Stevenson, Murphy, McGregor, Laidlaw
