Hibernian have confirmed a member of the first team squad has tested positive for Coronavirus.
The player, who has not yet been named, is now self-isolating after returning a positive result for the condition in the latest round of testing.
A short statement posted online revealed the player in question has displayed "no symptoms" but has been placed in quarantine measures.
It is the first time this season any members of the playing and/or coaching staff at Easter Road have contracted the condition.
Midfielder Alex Gogic tested positive prior to the Scottish Premiership meeting with Aberdeen in Leith earlier in the season, ruling him out of the match and subsequent international duty with Cyprus.
However, that result was later confirmed as a 'false positive' with Gogic later returning several negative tests, though he still missed the 1-0 defeat to The Dons.
The unnamed player will now miss the Hibees' return to top flight action when they face Hamilton Accies at Easter Road on Saturday.
According to the club, the player came into contact with the virus at home over the weekend and has not attended the East Mains training facility or the stadium since then.
No other players or coaching staff are understood to have tested positive.
A Hibs statement read: "Hibernian FC today confirmed that a player is socially isolating after contracting coronavirus.
"The player, who is showing no symptoms, tested positive after he came into contact with the virus at home over the weekend.
"He has not been inside the stadium or training centre since contracting the virus, and will be isolated for ten days."
