Hibs stars meet schoolboy bullied by sick trolls online for special treat

A Scots school boy got to meet his Hibs heroes after being bullied by sick trolls online.

Little Jacob Ogilvie was taunted after his dad shared a picture of him on social media as he went watch Hibs play in his first semi-final against Rangers at Hampden last month.

But the five-year-old, from Edinburgh, got the last laugh when Hibs won 3-1 and organised a special treat for him.

It comes after Gordon Smart from Hibs TV invited him down to meet some of the players at the training centre after showing up at his home, reports Edinburgh Live.

They headed to the training ground and where Jacob revealed to Smart that Martin Boyle was his favourite player.

However, the wee man informed Smart that he was “way faster” than Boyle.

They arrived and Jacob got to meet his heroes and even got a kick about with the players.

They then made their way inside the training ground and Jacob was presented with a pair of Boyle’s boots.

He then sat down with star men Martin Boyle and Ryan Porteous for a spot of lunch.

Smart said: “That was absolutely amazing. Jacob got to meet all the players and have a wee kick about - took some penalties as well.

He continued: “That’s the magical moment right there. Martin Boyle and Ryan Porteous with Jacob, I don’t know who is more excited, me or him!"

The day ended when Martin Boyle presented the youngster with tickets for the League Cup Final this weekend against Celtic.

Jacob and his dad will be off to the game to cheer on their team and this time at least, the trolls did not win the day.
