Hibs squad for Inverness Scottish Cup clash revealed as Fraser Murray reserve red card proves costly

Joe Newell is set to miss out as Hibs take on Inverness in the Scottish Cup quarter-final tomorrow night.

Inverness visit Easter Road as the sides vie to become the first team to make it to Hampden in this season's competition.

Hibs manager Jack Ross will not be able to call on the services of midfielder Joe Newell, however, after he injured his ankle in the warm-up for Saturday's Livingston game.

Fraser Murray is suspended after being sent off in a reserve defeat by Celtic on Monday. Fellow midfielder Stevie Mallan is 10 days away from returning to training following a knee injury while defenders Ryan Porteous and Jason Naismith remain out with long-term knee problems.

The visitors made changes for their midweek win over Dunfermline, with James Keatings, defender Kevin McHattie and midfielder Tom Walsh dropping to the bench.

They should be back for tomorrow's game but former Hibs youth product Sean Welsh will not make it as he remains out with an ankle injury.

Provisional Hibs squad: Marciano, McGinn, Stevenson, James, Gray, Whittaker, McGregor, Jackson, Hanlon, Hallberg, Docherty, Horgan, Allan, Doidge, Slivka, Boyle, Omeonga, McNulty, Bogdan

Provisional Inverness squad: Ridgers, Rooney, Tremarco, Toshney, McHattie, McKay, Carson, Vincent, Doran, MacGregor, Walsh, Trafford, Harper, Keatings, White, Storey, Todorov, Mackay
