Hibs set for St Johnstone and Ross County bounce games as Jack Ross readies side for season start

Hibernian have set up further bounce games against Premiership rivals St Johnstone and Ross County as the Easter Road side ramp up their preparations for the start of the new campaign.

Jack Ross' men played out a 1-1 draw with St Mirren last weekend in a behind closed doors contest at East Mains after the Scottish Government gave their approval for matches to be played in line with coronavirus restrictions.

The Easter Road outfit are now set to make the trip up to Perth for a clash with Saints on Wednesday evening before entertaining Ross County in East Lothian on Saturday.

Hibs kick off the Premiership season with a home game against Kilmarnock on August 1.

The fleet-footed wide man crossed for Jamie Gullan to net Hibs' goal after teenage midfielder Jay Henderson had given Jim Goodwin's men the lead.

Both matches will be heavily restricted, with only playing and coaching staff allowed access.

Hibs fielded two separate XI's in the pre-season runout against the Paisley outfit.

Defender Ryan Porteous made his return after a long injury layoff, playing the second 45 minutes.
