Hibs scout two West Lothian football stars for Pro Youth Contract

Two young stars from Murieston United have signed Pro Youth contracts with SPFL Premiership club Hibernian.

Attacking midfielder Harrison Melrose and striker Evan Black have been snapped up by the Edinburgh club and will be part of their under-11 Elite Academy team.

Murieston United coaches David Melrose and Zahid Rafiq expressed their delight at seeing two of the club’s youngsters making the move.

They said: “We’re delighted that both boys’ skills, hard work and dedication has been recognised by Scottish Premiership club, Hibernian FC.

“With the boys having had trials with a few clubs including Rangers, Celtic and Hearts, we’re delighted the boys have now chosen to continue their football development with a great club like Hibernian FC.

“It’s also brilliant for our club and coaching methods to be recognised in this way and Murieston United FC wish the boys all the best for their future football careers.”
