Hibernian's Scottish Cup-winning hero Liam Fontaine is on the lookout for a new club after agreeing to leave Ross County.
The 34-year-old joined the Staggies in 2018 and combined his playing career in the Highlands with a coaching role.
He was unable to prevent the Dingwall club slipping into the second tier at the end of his first campaign, however did manage to help them return by winning the Championship at the first attempt.
Fontaine joined the Easter Road side in 2014 under Alan Stubbs, going on to appear exactly 100 times in green and white.
He played 70 minutes of the 2016 Scottish Cup final and was the man sacrificed to bring on Liam Henderson, who would deliver two assists as the Hibees ended their 114-year wait to lift the trophy.
Fontaine played 54 times for County, but was yet to feature this term.
A statement on the Ross County website read: “Ross County can confirm that Liam Fontaine has left the club by mutual agreement.
"Everybody at Ross County wishes Liam and his family all the very best for their new chapter and we would like to thank him for his service to the club.”
