Hibs ramp up Celtic ticket pressure amid fresh SPFL Premier Sports Cup final allocation talks

Hibs have told fans they have heaped "increased pressure" on the SPFL to up their Premier Sports Cup final allocation after selling out their initial 17,500 briefs.

The Easter Road club will face Celtic at Hampden later this month but have fumed at their initial allocation - just over a third of the stadium's capacity.

Jack Ross has insisted it should have been a 50/50 split while detractors have pointed to the fact less than 10,000 Hibs fans attended the semi-final against Rangers.

But Hibs have come out swinging once more saying they have sold out the tickets they were initially given.

And they have reassured fans they are putting "increased pressure" on the SPFL to give them more.

A Hibs statement read: “We can confirm that we’ve sold out our full Premier Sports Cup Final ticket allocation.

"We received in the region of 17,500 tickets for the game at Hampden Park, which will take place on Sunday 19 December and kick-off at 15:00.

"Knowing that we would sell out our full ticket allocation, we have constantly been engaged with the SPFL to gain more tickets. We think it’s of paramount importance that we receive a greater allocation for our supporters, and for sporting integrity.

"We are putting increased pressure on the SPFL and will update supporters as soon as we hear more.

“In the meantime, hospitality packages for the game are still available.”
