Hibs pull Europa Conference League stream plans as Santa Coloma offer alternative

Hibs fans face the prospect of a TV blackout for their crucial Europa Conference League second leg after club TV u-turn.

Hibs TV had been planning to stream the clash with Santa Coloma on pay-per-view but have pulled the plug on the showing.

The Easter Road side have held talks with their hosts a and the Andorran FA and say the decision was taken "due to concerns about the quality of the match feed."

A club statement read: "We pride ourselves on giving fans high-quality coverage and do not want to charge unless we can be sure the match coverage will be up to our standards and filmed with multiple cameras.

"We had secured the rights to be the only broadcaster showing the live match but reverted on this decision due to quality concerns."

However, the Andorran FA will now be offering a one-camera feed that will be available to watch for free on YouTube.

Jack Ross ' team are on the brink of the next round of the Europa Conference League qualifiers as they take a 3-0 into the second leg.

In the first leg, Martin Boyle 's penalty got the hosts off to a great start Joe Newell's straight red card, which on further inspection was a shocking decision.

Boyle put then ten-men 2-0 up shortly after the break before the ref evened it up with a straight red for the visitors, then put them down to nine men with a second yellow.

Kevin Nisbet then had a goal disallowed before making it 3-0 moments later to give his side a little bit more breathing space.
