Hibs Premiership split fixtures in full as Easter Road side handed tough Rangers start

Hibernian have been handed a tough start to their Premiership split fixtures with a visit to champions Rangers kicking off the end of season run in.

Jack Ross’s side are seven points clear in third place as the men in green and white chase a return to European football after a three-year absence.

A draw at fellow top six side Livingston brought an end to the regular season, with five games remaining before it is officially brought to a close.

The Easter Road side run the gauntlet against the five other sides in the top half of the table before the end of the campaign in mid-May.

And there is an Old Firm double for the European-chasing Hibees with a trip to Ibrox starting off the split calendar, which then ends with Celtic arriving at Easter Road.

Steven Gerarrd’s men are already confirmed as champions and are lined up for the Hibees on Sunday, April 11.

That is followed by back-to-back home games against Livingston, on Wednesday April 21 and Betfred Cup winners St Johnstone on Saturday, May 1.

A daunting away trip to Pittodrie, where Hibs are winless since 2012, follows on Wednesday, May 12, before the season is rounded off by hosting Celtic on Saturday, May 15.

Those fixtures are interspersed by the revised Scottish Cup campaign, which Hibs get underway following the international break at Queen of the South on April 3.
