Hibs' Premiership clash with Celtic pushed back 24 hours in Europa League switch

Hibernian's Scottish Premiership meeting with Celtic has been pushed back by 24 hours due to their opponents' European commitments.

The Easter Road outfit will now visit Celtic Park on Sunday, September 27 as SPFL chiefs allow Neil Lennon's men extra recovery time following their Europa League qualifying tie with Latvian outfit Riga FC or San Marino's Tre Fiori the previous Thursday.

Those sides are due to face off next week for the right to face the Parkhead club in the third qualifying round after they were dumped out of the Champions League preliminaries by Hungarian champions Ferencvaros.

Jack Ross's men return to action after the international break this weekend with a trip to St Mirren before facing Rangers in Leith on Sunday, September 20.

The visit of the Ibrox side will be televised, however the meeting with Celtic is not currently slated for live coverage - with the 3pm kick off time remaining the same.
