Even before last night’s win in Andorra, Hibs knew who they’d be facing next in Europe.
The Europa Conference League third qualifying round draw had paired either them or FC Santa Coloma with Rijeka of Croatia or Malta’s Gzira United.
Jack Ross ’ men got the job done with a 2-1 win in Malta, while Rijeka won their second 1-0 to progress 3-0 on aggregate.
The Easter Road club will now take on the Croatians in early August for a place in the play-off draw.
A win for the Hibees would leave them just 180 minutes from the group stages and guaranteed European football until Christmas,
Before then, Rijeka will be a tougher test than they faced in Andorra and if they get through that, then there’s the potential for some extremely tricky or just downright difficult ties in the play-off.
With Hibs in the "main path" of the draw rather than the "champions path", here's who they could potentially face for a spot in the group stages.
