Participation in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League was confirmed for Hibs after last Saturday’s Scottish Cup final defeat.
St Johnstone’s 1-0 win at Hampden meant they went into the play-off round of the Europa League, leaving the Hibees facing three two-legged ties to reach the group stage of the new tournament after they finished third in the Scottish Premiership.
The draw for the second qualifying round will be held at noon on 16 June, when Jack Ross ’ team will find out who stands between them and a spot in the third qualifying round.
The Easter Road club are seeded at this stage which should make things a little easier, and they’ll be joined in that pot by the 15 losers from the first qualifying round of the Champions League.
Domestic rivals Aberdeen are also seeded while they'll avoid the likes of Feyenoord, AEK, Partizan Belgrade and old foes Molde as well.
Going into the unneeded pot will be the three losers of the preliminary qualifying round of the Champions League, who Hibs could be drawn against.
Not all teams have confirmed their qualifications with some fixtures across some European leagues still to take place, and of course the winners of the first qualifying round ties to be determined.
